A Word From Our Founder
Hi! I am Lara Manchharam, I am a Singaporean rider based in Singapore. I compete regionally at the 100-110cm level as well as in elementary dressage tests. I am also part of Team Singapore, representing my country in the South East Asian Youth Cup 2025.

The idea for Avesta Equestrian came from my own experiences as a rider navigating the limited and often expensive options available in Singapore’s equestrian market. I saw a real need for affordable, stylish riding gear that didn’t compromise on quality, and decided to do something about it. I named my label after my Dutch warmblood, who has taught me not only about riding but has also taught me about resilience, grit, and determination.
Driven by a passion for both the sport and the lifestyle that surrounds it, I set out to create a brand that empowers riders to feel confident, express their individuality, and truly belong in the equestrian community. With Avesta Equestrian, my goal has always been to blend functionality with fashion, while keeping accessibility at the core of everything we do.
More than just apparel, this brand represents a movement toward inclusivity and self-expression in the riding world.
Through my label and the equestrian community, I hope to inspire and support riders of all backgrounds to pursue their passion—and look good doing it.
